Position Description:
Based on sabbatical requests, the Department of Management expects to fill a full-time visiting faculty position, any rank, in Operations & Industrial Engineering (OIE) for the 2010-2011 academic year. This is a one-year appointment.
The faculty member will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in industrial engineering and operations management and help advise student projects during the academic year. Research, which leads to publication in high quality refereed journals, is expected, supported, and encouraged. Cross-functional and interdisciplinary research is encouraged as we have seen research collaborations between our faculty members in OIE, accounting, information systems, finance, mathematics, and manufacturing engineering.

Requirements |
To be considered, applicants must have a Ph.D. and at least one degree (B.S., M.S., or Ph.D.) in Industrial Engineering or Operations Research. The ideal applicant will have a PhD in Industrial Engineering/Operations Research with an MBA, or PhD in Operations Management with an MSIE/OR. While we are open on the research interests of the candidate, we are most interested in candidates who can tie their research to areas such as supply chain management and logistics, organizational analytics, lean, performance analysis, etc.
Related business and teaching experience is preferred, as is successful evidence of scholarship.
